“Six Acne-Infested College Students Come Together and Expose The Best Acne Treatments of 2011″
Updated List of the Best Acne Treatments -
Brought to you by David Campbell
STOP! Don’t look any further! Each and every year we put together a list of acne treatments that we believe have huge potential. We share the top five most effective (and fastest) acne treatments.
We factor many things into ranking these products like speed of treatment, customer satisfaction, safeness of product, and the percent of success stories when it’s all said and done.
“If you have acne and NEED to get rid of it fast, you’ve come to the right place!”
Ready?
Here’s the updated list for 2011:
Most Effective Acne Treatments for 2011 (Updated)
- Dermology - (Limited time only: Pay just $6.97 after mail-in rebate)
- Clearpores – A great well-rounded acne treatment
- Murad – An old personal favorite of mine and on the list for the 4th year in a row!
Breaking down the results
Basically what it comes to do is this: It’s an all too common occurrence. At the first sight of acne, 99% of the population run to the nearest
drug store and buy every acne treatment they can find.
These acne product reviews are the very best in this busy industry and you can trust us when we say that we’ll fix your acne problem right up real quick. Its not only teenagers who suffer from acne anymore… Adults can get it too. It’s terrible and unfortunate but it happens so we should learn to get used to it. But how can we get used to it? Is there anything we can do to fix it?
Finding a Balance
You need to decide where on the spectrum you want to land for choosing an acne treatment. On the one side, you have strong harsh prescription treatments that are often times very expensive and also have the chance of being dangerous (accutane is like this). On the other end of the spectrum, you have organic natural acne treatments that are light on the skin and are made of a delicate blend of ingredients that passively fight acne breakouts.
Most people prefer acne treatments to be slightly on the strong side…
I personally land somewhere right in the middle of the spectrum. I really don’t care much about speed as long as it works great. For instance, I’d rather buy one of the best acne treatments out there rather than waste my money on one of the fastest acne treatments. Agree with me? The #1 rated treatment this year was Dermology, which doesn’t surprise me because it lands exactly in the sweet spot on the spectrum.

Understanding the Basics about Acne Treatments
You have to realize that these treatments are high above the grade of products you find at drug stores — These are literally the best acne treatments out there. The concentration of ingredients is much higher (and therefore makes them more effective) — Sometimes you have to watch yourself when applying select product due to their acidic nature. Leaving a particular product on the skin for too long could easily result in a pretty bad burn… This makes you face red and puffy and even more embarrassing than having acne all over yourself. Trust me on this one.
Are You Ready To Take Action?
This product review page is constantly being updated and is actually in the middle of a huge overhaul so please forgive me while I work on it. In order to present to you the best treatments of 2011, I need to constantly research other products and find people to try them out. It’s a lot of work and extremely time consuming. Don’t worry though… This site will be up and running before you know it! (just like it was back in 08)
Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any immediate concerns.
P.S. I realize there are no links to products at the moment… I am in the process of comparing websites so I can give you the best deal/pricing on these acne treatments. Hope you understand

I want a great acne treatment for my kids. What works the best?
I’ve always used that one Proactiv treatment… I was on accutane for a couple months but then I stopped because I couldn’t take the pain it was causing my face.
I need something thats not too harsh but still effective… Opinions?
Well we’ve always preferred Acnezine (our #1 last year) but Dermology has been creating quite a buzz recently and has topped our charts… I’d recommend either treatment over a drugstore treatment any day, but Dermology has a great offer going right now… I think its free after their mail-in rebate or something like that (minus shipping of course). Comes to about $8.
@Michel: How old are your kids? And how bad is their acne?
hi. i am 13 and have been struggling with acne for about a year. i just went to the doctor about it like 4 months ago. he gave me retin-a. no success so far. i really wanted a fresh start for school. i want a fast acne treatment. atleast a month. my acne is in between mild and severe. everyone says its hormonal but NONE of my friends have it. Its kind of making me insecure. what do you reccommend i should do? i am athlete(soccer) so i am also constantly sweating… help! (:
Gia,
Don’t worry, your acne sounds hormonal and your genetics probably have something to do with why you are the only one of your friends experiencing the problem. It’s completely normal and you have plenty of treatment options. But first, let’s cover the obvious:
If you don’t already do this, try thoroughly washing your face (don’t forget to moisturize too!) every morning and every night before you go to sleep. Also, being an athlete like yourself, it’s very important to wash your face after every practice/game because letting sweat sit on your skin is just asking for more acne!
Now, onto some treatment options:
If you don’t want to purchase an acne treatment online, ask your doctor about writing you a prescription for a medicine called Doxycycline. It’s a cheap antibiotic and is very effective for getting rid of persistent acne. You should see major results after a month of use and while it’s still a prescription, it’s less dangerous than taking something like Accutane. You don’t have to worry about your acne getting worse before it gets better either.
Thanks for your comment. Let me know how it goes!

Hi
I’m 14 years old and I’ve had trouble with acne for a few years now. I’ve been using proactive, and it worked for a long time, just about up until I started freshmen year… Now it’s starting to flare up again and I don’t know what happened. I’m not more stressed or anything. Do you have any advice or insight?
Hi Sydney,
Make sure you get a full nights sleep. I remember freshman year as being pretty stressful in itself (even if it doesn’t feel like it). New environment and new people can always cause your body to act differently, and this could be what is causing your acne to flare up again.
I’ve said it before on here, but in case you haven’t seen: Always wash and *MOISTURIZE* your face before you go to sleep. A lot of people skip the moisturizer thinking it will make their face greasy.. But in fact, if your skin is too dry, your acne can ironically get worse. The only thing you have to look for is that the moisturizer be specifically designed for facial use. Moisturizers for the rest of your body can clog your pores and make your acne worse. Drink plenty of water and your acne should clear up shortly.
Thanks for the comment, Sydney. Keep in touch,
David

I am 16 years old male and recently my acne has been getting worse. My skin is oily with mostly whiteheads ,but recently seen more and more blackheads that are making things worse. I am thinking of trying clear pores? Is that my best option?
I am 21 years old. And for about a year I had the perfect skin! I was so glad to be rid of my teen age acne. Then bam I broke our worse than ever before. I have always been the home remedy girl since. I don’t have the money to go out and buy any thing and I rotate through the ones. I know work to keep My skin from becoming immune. Now I am broken out bad and the one store bought item that worked made things worse and home remedies are failing me!! Help!!!
